Dieticians, public health workers, fitness trainers, health educators, substance abuse counselors:  these are some of the many occupations that are essential for helping people to learn behaviors and strategies for healthier lives.

HCC’s Health Promotion and Human Performance department offers transfer degree and career certificate programs in a variety of these non-clinical disciplines, including:

There is also a Health Care for the Professional program for practicing allied health workers to earn an associate degree. The curriculum for all of these programs blends elements of life sciences, social sciences, and teacher education to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation and practical community-based experiences.
