Biography:
DR. LISA A. WILDE has worked at Rep Stage as Resident/Production Dramaturg since 1998 and has taught at Howard Community College since 1998. She has taught  composition, literature, fine arts and speech but her major focus is Text Analysis, Theater Appreciation, Theater History, Modern Drama and Shakespeare. She received her BA in English from Carleton College and an MFA and DFA in  Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from the Yale School of Drama. She has also worked at Center Stage, Young Playwrights Inc in NYC and Single Carrot Theater and has taught as an adjunct at Goucher College, Towson University and in the Johns Hopkins Odyssey program. She has published articles in Shaw and Ibsen News and Comment and has presented at ATHE and LMDA. For seven years she served as the Region 2 Chair of Dramaturgy for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival . She received the Kennedy Center Gold Medallion for excellence in and contributions to theater education and a commendation for distinguished work in dramaturgy for her new play work on In the Cotton.
