Support Beyond the Classroom
Many students face obstacles beyond the cost of tuition in achieving their educational goals. Your donation can support a number of programs designed to support the whole student through their college journey. Donations to the Educational Foundation can be directed to programs such as disability support services, support for single parents (Career Links), the Book Fund, Emergency Helping Hands Fund, and Project Access.
The Foundation has also created several special fundraising initiatives aimed at addressing some of the most pressing concerns for students, including food insecurity and job training for skilled immigrants. Read more these programs here:
Travel and Civic Engagement
At HCC, learning extends beyond the classroom through opportunities to travel, explore different cultures, volunteer, and grow a sense of civic engagement and community awareness. Donations to the Educational Foundation helps ensure that these opportunities are available to all students who want to take part. Study Abroad and The Center for Service Learning are two key programs that are supported by HCC Educational Foundation fundraising efforts.
HCC’s student-athletes compete in nine different sports in the NJCAA and MDJUCO, but many student-athletes face financial constraints as they juggle school, work, and the cost of personal equipment. Your support can provide scholarships as well as program funds to help in the recruitment efforts of basketball, lacrosse, and soccer athletes, and help offset the cost of equipment for athletes.
HCC’s tremendous visual and performing arts programs allows the opportunity for students, faculty, and community to explore the arts. Donors are an integral part of the ongoing support and partnerships allowing for an incredible art education program in the community. The arts programs include:
