Students often come to Howard Community College with a passion for a learning and goals to earn degrees, start a career, or continue to graduate school in their chosen field. The college's academic programs are aligned with local and national workforce needs, and many graduates stay in the community to live and work for local employers after graduation. Supporting scholarships within a designated academic area makes a tremendous difference for students pursuing those fields, and supports the development of the future workforce in critical areas such as health care, business, STEM, information technology, cyber, criminal justice, teacher education, and the arts.

Howard Community College’s honors programs and learning communities provide an academically enriched environment to help students excel, whether they are earning an associate degree or transferring to a 4-year institution.
