Career Readiness Program
To provide students with job readiness training and the opportunity to connect within the industries they are interested in, Howard Community College offers the Career Readiness Program. This program is designed to assist students with developing the skills that they need to maximize their college experience and begin building their critical skills and professional network. The program will offer students a wide variety of opportunities during the academic year.
To be part of this program students will participate across three readiness areas. Prepare by completing a career services assessment. Explore various industries through lunch and learns. Connect through the mentorship program and micro internships offered by Parker Dewey or virtually through Forage. Students who complete the program can also participate in Thrive that utilizes team building activities, company tours, and networking luncheons.
The Career Readiness Program includes students from Howard P.R.I.D.E, Ambiciones, Silas Craft Collegians, Rouse Scholars, first-generation college students, engineering students, students referred by their advisor or career services, or any student interested in learning more about their career options.
