Silas Craft Collegians Dinner
March 4, 2024
The Cause
Howard Community College believes there is greatness to be unlocked in everyone and has developed an innovative program for this very purpose.
Named after Howard County educator and civil rights leader Dr. Silas E. Craft, Sr., the Silas Craft Collegians program is a comprehensive academic program leading to an associate degree at HCC. The program focuses on recent high school graduates whose past performance does not reflect their true potential and is designed to increase retention, scholastic achievement, graduation, and transfers to four-year institutions.
Students benefit from personalized attention, academic and personal advising, tutoring, study sessions, quality teaching, mentoring, and many other specialized services. Learn more about the Silas Craft Collegians Program and giving to other HCC Honors and Learning Communities.
The Event *
The Howard Community College Educational Foundation invites you to partner with the college in supporting this year's virtual version of the dinner and help raise funds to benefit the Silas Craft Collegians Endowment and program.
On Monday, March 4 of 2024, Hunan Manor Restaurant in Columbia will be closed to the public to prepare and distribute Craft Bento Boxes**, delivered curbside to participants between noon and 2 p.m. and again between 4 - 6 p.m. Then, at 6:30 p.m., tune in for a premiere video highlighting the Silas Craft Collegians program, where you will hear from special guests and much more! Best of all, the net profits will benefit the Silas Craft Collegians Endowment and program funds!
**Bento Box ticket sales will end on February 24, 2024
