Support the Arts

In 2016, the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center celebrated a 10-year milestone as home of the college's Arts & Humanities Division, as well as the culture hub for Howard County and beyond.  Over the past decade, the Horowitz Center has offered community members the opportunity to engage with the arts as patrons and as students:

  • more than 360,000 patrons have attended events in the center’s three performance venues and two exhibit spaces;
  • over 2,000 music, dance, and theatre performances and 90 art exhibits at the student and professional levels have been mounted;
  • over 80,000 students have taken arts and humanities classes;
  • 500 academic degrees and certificates have been awarded;
  • 750 students have transferred on to 4-year colleges and universities.

The Horowitz Center sincerely thanks our dedicated patrons and generous donors whose contributions of time, talent, and funds have helped make this possible!  To help us continue to bring quality programming and arts education to the community, please consider making a contribution through the Howard Community College Educational Foundation to a designated arts and humanities student scholarship/endowment or to our following resident performance groups.  Thank you for supporting the arts at HCC!

  • Arts Collective

    HCC's Arts Collective has brought you compelling literature, musicals, dance, improv, original works, workshops, auditions, job opportunities, training and more for over two decades. All thanks to the generous support of folks like you. But the cost it takes to make the magic happen continues to increase year after year.

    Please consider supporting the arts with a designated contribution to Arts Collective through the Howard Community College Educational Foundation.  One hundred percent of your gift through the HCCEF goes directly toward the program fund you choose, and is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

    For information on other opportunities to fund arts programs, including season sponsorship, matching grants, and planned giving, contact the Foundation Office at 443-518-1970 or foundation@howardcc.edu.

    THANK YOU for making an online donation today to support the future of the arts at HCC!

  • Music Concert Series

    HCC's Music Concert Series brings high-quality programming to you at an affordable ticket price, but we need your support to sustain what we do. The cost for great music is high, yet the elevation of one’s mind and spirit is priceless!

    Please consider supporting the arts with a designated contribution to the Music Concert Series through the Howard Community College Educational Foundation.  One hundred percent of your gift through the HCCEF goes directly toward the program fund you choose, and is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

    An additional way to support music is through HCC's All-Steinway School Initiative. The HCCEF has a variety of piano-naming and other giving opportunities to help the college provide a legacy of excellence in music education and performance for current and future generations.

    For information on other opportunities to fund arts programs, including season sponsorship, matching grants, and planned giving, contact the Foundation Office at 443-518-1970 or foundation@howardcc.edu.

  • Rep Stage

    Rep Stage brings exciting literature to the stage, including new works and area premieres, to challenge as well as entertain audiences throughout the Baltimore-Washington metro area. Rep Stage tickets also remain the most economical professional theatre prices in the area. But the cost of bringing this level of theatre to our community is enormous, and ticket revenue covers only about one-third of the cost of production.

    Please consider supporting the arts with a designated contribution to Rep Stage through the Howard Community College Educational Foundation.  One hundred percent of your gift through the HCCEF goes directly toward the program fund you choose, and is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

    An additional way to support Rep Stage is through the Smith Theatre seat naming opportunity. Your $500 contribution will be recognized with an engraved seat plaque to honor a family name or pay tribute to loved ones.

    For information on other opportunities to fund arts programs, including season sponsorship, matching grants, and planned giving, contact the Foundation Office at 443-518-1970 or foundation@howardcc.edu.

    THANK YOU for making an online donation today to support the future of the arts at HCC!
