Age Restriction

Each production has a specific intended audience. Check the specific production's web page for any age restrictions/recommendations.

Latecomers to Performance Events

Latecomers are seated at the management’s discretion at a point in the performance and in a seat that will be least distracting to the actors and other patrons in the theatre. The late seating points are different for each production and each venue. In some cases, there may not be any late seating points for a given production or you may have to wait until intermission to be seating. Please allow adequate time to arrive, park and be seated. On weekday evenings when classes are in session, we suggest that patrons arrive 30-40 minutes prior to showtime.

Lost and Found

Items will be taken to HCC's lost and found at the main security office. To inquire about personal belongings that may have been left in the theatre, call 443-518-5500.


Parking is available during evenings and weekends in the West Parking Garage,  LOTS A, B, and C for Horowitz Center patrons. Weekday parking is available in the West Parking Garage.


Light snacks and beverages will be sold either before the start of the performance or during intermission, depending on the production.  Food and drink are not allowed in any Horowitz Center performance venue.


Howard Community College is a smoke-free environment.  There are designated smoking areas outside the Horowitz Center.

Inclement Weather

If HCC is closed, DO NOT assume that your Horowitz Center performance is cancelled. Call to Confirm. In general, performances are not cancelled unless the Maryland State Police declare a state of emergency and close the Howard County roads. Call the Box Office to check the status of a performance (option 0). Radio and TV announcements for HCC closings affect only classes and not Horowitz Center performances. Call the Horowitz Center Box Office at 443-518-1500 for updates on performances during inclement weather.

Online Ticket Orders

Online Tickets are available for Rep Stage, the Arts Collective and HCC Music Department events.

All tickets purchased online within 2 weeks of the production will be held at the Box Office to be picked up the day of the show. All student tickets purchased online will need to show a valid student I.D. (or printed course schedule) in order to pick up the tickets at will-call. If the date you wish to attend is not available online, please call the Box Office for availability, because that date might be close to sold out.
