Visual Arts

With two exhibit spaces and multiple instructional facilities, the Horowitz Center has something to offer to all patrons and students.  The Rouse Company Foundation Gallery and Richard B. Talkin Family Gallery feature engaging exhibits year-round. Students at all skill levels are encouraged to take classes and have the opportunity to exhibit their work in the galleries twice a year. Partnerships with local museums and art centers enrich the experience for everyone.

  • Horowitz Center Galleries
The Horowitz Center features two exhibit spaces. The Rouse Company Foundation Gallery is devoted to bringing quality exhibits to Howard County that reflect the diverse range of visual art in America and beyond. The Richard B. Talkin Family Art Gallery features work from artists in the college community, giving our students, alumni, and community artists the experience of organizing and presenting local art work.
  • Visiting Artist & Master Workshop Series
Howard Community College’s Art & Design Department presents an annual Visiting Artist & Master Workshop Series.  With a focus on community and student enrichment, the series annually features a guest artist presenting on a specific topic related to their work. Students and community members have an opportunity to participate in a credit or non-credit capacity.
