Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center
As an educational and production venue, the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center offers community members the opportunity to engage with the arts as patrons and as students. With a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, our annual themes open the doors for faculty, students, producers, and patrons to explore concepts through multiple perspectives and media. The center’s 2019-2020 theme, Power, has inspired our resident and partner producers to consider the place of power in our world. Whether in the form of energy, authority, or strength, power is an invisible force that greatly affects our lives. Who has power? Who doesn't? How is power gained, and how does the use and misuse of power affect society? Join us this season, and experience the power of the arts to inform, transform, and uplift.
Horowitz Center Operations
Howard Community College has been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As a result, all events scheduled to take place on campus through May 31 are cancelled or postponed. This decision will be reassessed on that date or as appropriate if new developments arise. Ticket holders for affected resident events will be contacted by the Horowitz Center box office. Ticket holders for events presented by our partners in the arts are encouraged to check partner organizations' websites for more information.
