Resources Available Via Internet
GoToMyPC– GoToMyPC (GTMPC) is remote desktop software that allows users to access office computers remotely and securely using a web browser. User can access network shared drives and other desktop applications on your HCC workstation. You will not be able to print files to a local (personal) printer nor save files to local (personal) workstation.
myHCC Portal – myHCC portal allows links to: Ad Astra, announcements, account tools, Canvas, college faculty tools, employee news, financial tools, forms, professional development, self-service tools (course catalog, employee, financial management, financial aid, grades, student finance, student planning), technical news, email and the President’s Update. Additionally, the portal allows access to a wide range of college employee resources and team sites.
Microsoft OneDrive – The college has a Microsoft OneDrive account where users can securely store files. Remote workers can collaborate with team members by sharing an access link to folders with work files. The share link is active for only 24 hours. OneDrive will allow you to access your files from on or off campus. Files can be edited on cellphone, laptop, tablet or workstation. OneDrive can also be found just below your quick access navigation pane in the file explorer. To access OneDrive, you will need to enter your HCC log-in credentials.
Outlook Web Access (OWA) – Access to OWA to read college emails, set calendar appointments, and tasks can be located on the college main website under Tools & Resources as well as on the myHCC portal.
Voicemail to Email – You have the option to forward your office phone voicemails to your college email account. The voicemails can be played on any device which gives you access to your HCC email. If you would like this feature enabled, please submit your own IT request to the Technology Service Center or call 443-518-4444.
Zoom – Zoom provides remote conferencing services that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration. Zoom Professional accounts are not limited to a 40-minute time period. If you registered for a Zoom basic account using HCC email, then Zoom will match the list of employees provided by e-Learning and will automatically convert the account to Zoom Pro.
