Here are tips to help you be successful while learning online - whether this is your first class, or you are experienced at learning remotely, these practices will help you achieve your goals.
Create a time for study and build a cushion

Break larger tasks into smaller ones
When you achieve those goals, celebrate! Reward yourself with things like a video-chat with a friend, go for a walk, or give yourself a treat.
Prioritize your work using the Canvas Calendar.

Consider disabling your notifications on your phone or computer while you are in your study time.
This will keep distractions to a minimum.
Have a dedicated place to work
Try to find good lighting, a quiet space, and the best internet connection you can.
Read carefully
Read the syllabus, read the course announcements, read your email. Stay informed and connected!
Participate
Log into Canvas every day. Email your professors with questions. Reach out to Student Services if you need help with food, counseling, or other necessities.
Take care of you!
Try these stress management techniques or use whatever stress reduction methods that works for you. Workout, try meditation, or relaxation techniques.
And remember, hitting a bump is OK, that is how you learn and grown strong.
