HCCEF Scholarships
2022-2023 HCC Educational Foundation Scholarships
The full scholarship application for the 2022-2023 academic year is now closed. The full 2023-2024 academic year scholarship application will be available April 1st, 2023. The priority consideration date will be May 1st, 2023. Students may continue to utilize the following quick-apply options:
- New Students- Respond to the FERPA disclaimer for potential scholarship recipients on the HCC Application for Admission to be considered for general scholarships.
- Current & returning Students- Complete the required agreements in Self-Service to be considered for general scholarships. Click here for instruction on accessing required agreements.
The Howard Community College Educational Foundation, Inc. (HCCEF) maintains endowments and scholarships established through generous contributions from businesses, foundations, civic organizations and individuals. Scholarship criteria differs and may or may not include financial need, academic merit, learning program, special skills or talent, and other.
Other Financial Options
Students are encouraged to complete the Financial Aid 2022-2023 Application Process in order to maximize their financial aid resources. The March 1, 2022 priority filing date is for students to be considered for certain need-based Maryland State and institutional assistance.

Eligibility
To be considered for general HCCEF scholarships students are required to meet the following:
*Have a high school diploma, GED or the international equivalent
*Be in good Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status

Priority Deadlines
Priority is given to students enrolled for the Fall 2022 semester who apply for scholarships by the May 1 priority date. Students are encouraged to still submit an application after the priority deadline. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis after the priority date until all funds have been awarded for the academic year.
