2018-2019 HCC Educational Foundation Scholarships
The Howard Community College Educational Foundation, Inc. (HCCEF) maintains endowments and scholarships established through generous contributions from businesses, foundations, civic organizations and individuals. Scholarship criteria differs and may or may not include financial need, academic merit, learning program, special skills or talent, and other.
Students must submit the 2018-2019 online HCCEF application to be considered for scholarships. Students will be required to set up a scholarship application account ("Sign Up" tab on website). Students who submitted an application last year will click "Sign In".
Please note that one application makes you eligible for all listed scholarships. You do not need to apply to each individually. Once you've submitted your application, a financial aid advisor will review it and match you to available scholarships.
Other Financial Options
Some scholarships are considered need-based and students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who are applying for financial aid, including scholarships, are encouraged to complete the Financial Aid 2018-2019 Application Process in order to maximize their financial aid resources. The March 1, 2018 priority filing date is for students to be considered for certain Maryland state and institutional assistance.
Please note: A full-time student schedule for either the fall or spring semesters generally consists of 12 to 18 credit hours. Only students who are enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours will be considered. Awards are granted for the fall and spring semesters.

Priority DeadlinesPriority is given to students enrolling for the Fall 2018 semester who complete the HCCEF application by the June 1 priority filing date each year. Students are encouraged to still submit an application after the priority deadline. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis after the priority filing date until all funds have been awarded for the academic year, or January 31, 2019.
TranscriptsStudents who earned less than 12 college credits are required to submit an unofficial high school transcript. Students who earned college credit from another institution and earned less than 12 credits at HCC are required to submit an unofficial transcript(s) from previous colleges. Copies of required transcripts must be submitted to Financial Aid Services. Current students who have earned more than 12 credits at HCC are not required to submit an HCC transcript.
