Coppin State University's Assistant Director of Recruitment is available for virtual Zoom Drop-In meetings on Mondays and Thursdays, 9/17 through 11/18 to answer your transfer questions. Salisbury University is hosting Virtual Transfer Tuesdays. An event just for students looking to transfer from another institution to Salisbury, meet with one of their transfer staff to discuss plans for next steps in the admissions process; review an academic course checklist for your intended major; or obtain advice on coursework to take at your current institution. Stevenson University is offering weekly virtual information sessions specially tailored for transfer students. Students can expect to meet virtually with a Transfer Counselor, take a virtual tour of the campus. and learn more about Stevenson's Transfer Advantage, including maximizing your transfer credits and scholarship opportunities. The Universities at Shady Grove in Montgomery County, MD (USG) offers select degree programs from 9 Maryland public universities, all on one convenient campus in Rockville. Students apply directly to the university offering their major and simply choose USG as their preferred campus location. The professors, curriculum, and degree are the same as if students attended their home university, but students at USG benefit from increased convenience, personalization, and affordability, as well as a campus made specifically for transfer students. University of Baltimore is hosting information sessions all semester for various programs such as Business, Simulation and Game Design, Cybersecurity, Psychology, Health and Human Services, and more! Visit their events page to RSVP for any of these information sessions.
University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is available for one-on-one appointments with students to answer questions about UMBC programs, transfer planning and resources, and the transfer admissions process. Additionally, they have a series of videos designed specifically for transfer students, detailing programs, financial aid information, campus support programs and services, and other transfer tips. University of Maryland College Park's Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department will be running an extensive set of courses in the Chemical Engineering curriculum. Visit the website for more details
University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly University of Maryland University College) is available for phone appointments to discuss transfer. Additionally, UMGC is offering Virtual Open House sessions to all HCC students. These will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 PM - 7 PM Eastern. University of Maryland at Shady Grove would like to share information about their Communication Studies major. Communication students at the University of Maryland at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) pursue a degree with a focus in Digital Media and Visual Communication. The department offers an exciting curriculum that prepares students for academic and professional careers in government, business, health, education, social and human services, visual communication, film production, and other fields. Shenandoah University (Winchester, VA) is hosting a series of virtual "how to apply" sessions and "On-Site Admissions" sessions. For the On-Site Admissions sessions, students will bring a clean unofficial transcript to be emailed to a representative from the university, and the representative will make an admissions decision right on the spot! University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC) regularly offers appointments for students to meet with transfer admissions staff. Visit their scheduling page to make an appointment. Additionally, University of South Carolina recommends students from Maryland take courses from the Academic Common Market. Academic Common Market allows students in participating programs to receive in-state tuition rates, as long as they remain enrolled in that major and meet their specific state requirements. Eligible programs for Maryland residents include their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Risk Management and Insurance major, their Bachelor of Science - Hospitality Management, Club Management concentration, and their Bachelor of Science - Sport and Entertainment Management major.
