
Identification Cards for Employees, Contractors and Vendors Procedure - 63.09.04
College Policy Number/Title:
Howard Community College’s department of public safety issues employee identification cards. The identification card includes the employee’s name and photograph. It is the responsibility of the college employee to obtain a college identification card.
The identification card may also be used as an access card, giving employees authorized access to specific rooms and buildings. In order to activate the identification card as an access card, the employee must obtain written authorization from the appropriate department head granting the employee access to specific buildings and rooms. Upon resignation from the college, an employee must return the identification card as part of the college’s separation procedures. Additional information can be found in college procedure 63.03.06, Resignation.
While not college employees, contractors and vendors that have been engaged by the college must display identification badges while on campus as noted in college policy 61.14, Non-Students on Campus.
