College Procedure Number/Title:
Howard Community College views learning as a cumulative process and recognizes pre-existing knowledge of learners by granting appropriate credit through assessment in accordance with American Council on Education recommendations; articulations with non-degree-granting organizations and agencies, evaluation of military transcripts, portfolio assessment, or satisfactory completion of national or institutional examinations.
