College Procedure Number/Title:
The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College is committed to planned change throughout the college, especially in academic programs; diversity in instructional methods to address different learning styles; treatment of students as individuals; critical inquiry and originality in seeking answers; and, most importantly, innovation and experimentation in programs, courses, and instructional strategies that address learning objectives.
The college’s president promotes quality by ensuring periodic evaluation of academic programs and reporting annually to the board of trustees on initiatives for instructional excellence, changes planned for all areas of the college that impact instructional excellence, and the success of changes that have been implemented.
