Howard Community College is committed to providing educational offerings to meet the diverse needs of the community, including transfer- and career-oriented programs and certificates. These offerings include associate of applied science, associate of arts, associate of arts in teaching, and associate of science in engineering degrees, certificates, and continuing education programs including workforce training. Underlying these programs is a commitment to general education and ethics including creating a dynamic and effective learning environment for students. General education goals consist of: creative process and humanistic inquiry, critical thinking, global competency, oral and expressive communication, scientific and quantitative reasoning, written communication, information literacy, and technology competency.
