After dropping out of high school, Mollie took her GED test before continuing on to work towards her associate degree in general studies. During her time at HCC, Mollie has studied abroad with the Schulte Fellowship in Ireland, participated in Student Advocacy Day, been a peer leader, had her work featured in HCC’s literary magazine and served as editor of the HCC Times student newspaper. She’s also earned accolades along the way, including recognition as a “Who’s Who Among Students” and member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.
Mollie’s parting advice to her fellow students? “Take classes that interest you, get involved with Student Life, and follow your passions, because that is what will keep you invested in your education.” After graduating from HCC, Mollie is serving in the AmeriCorps before transferring to a four-year college to earn her bachelor’s degree.
