Anytime I meet someone who’s interested in learning how to ride, I tell them to go to The Rider School.
Matt needed a place he could trust to help him learn how to safely ride a motorcycle.

Matt was looking into getting his motorcycle license when he heard about The Rider School from a trusted coworker. For over 10 years, The Rider School at HCC has helped thousands of residents get their Maryland motorcycle (Class M) license through MVA-approved training. The Basic Rider Course at HCC seemed to be a valuable option for preparing for the Maryland State licensing exam and it was only 30 minutes from Matt’s home. Matt was able to “learn what he needed with the right equipment so that he could drive safely without getting hurt.”

“I’ve always loved riding bikes but going around in circles for the first time on a motorcycle at HCC was the most fun thing ever,” Matt says. “It’s so freeing and so enjoyable to not be enclosed in a car.”

Matt learned so much that he returned to The Rider School one year later to brush up on his skills. “The teachers are good. There are plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and get advice and tips. It never hurts to reinforce your skills.”

Since learning how to ride a motorcycle at The Rider School, Matt says when he meets other riders, they almost always learned how to ride at The Rider School, too. “The Rider School is easy to get to, the facilities are nice, and everyone is very friendly and easy to work with,” Matt explains.

Throughout the spring and summer, Matt enjoys riding his motorcycle (a Triumph Street Twin) to work and with friends on the weekends. “Anytime I meet someone who’s interested in learning how to ride, I tell them to go to The Rider School.”
