All Howard Community College buildings are open with services available in person to serve students and the public. Among the services available are admissions and advising, financial aid, library, bookstore, and more. Come visit to get ready for the fall semester, which starts August 28, 2021.
Below, please find current hours for key offices on campus. Starting August 16, in-person services will be available 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. or later depending on the office. Please see below for specific hours.
Admissions and Advising
Prospective students can connect with the Office of Admissions and Advising on campus Monday through Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admissions and Advising also offers in-person and virtual information sessions for anyone who wants to learn more about enrolling at HCC. And students who wish to meet with advisors one-on-one over Zoom, HCC offers pop-up virtual advising. Students can purchase their textbooks in person at the campus bookstore from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Starting August 16, the bookstore will be open 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Students can also purchase textbooks and other course materials online at howardcc.bncollege.com.
Cafe on the Quad
When on campus, breakfast, lunch, and snacks are available at our Cafe on the Quad Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find Starbucks for your favorite drinks, plus enjoy food from the pizza oven, deli, and grill. Breakfast service is from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Starting August 16, the cafe will open Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m.–2 p.m. Breakfast service will be from 8:30–10:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the grill from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., and the deli, pizza, and Starbucks available until closing.

The Cashier’s Office is available to assist students both in person and remotely from 8:45 a.m.– 6:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:45 a.m-5 p.m. on Fridays. This office helps with student payments and questions related to student finance, payment plan information, and refunds. Find email addresses and hours of operation online.
HCC’s Financial Aid Office offers in-person services Monday through Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Students can also connect with the Financial Aid Office over Zoom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 7 p.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. Looking for a quiet place to study or perhaps read a book? The HCC Library is open through August 13 Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. During August 14–27, the hours will shift to Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find out more about the Library, its books, resources, and services.
Records, Registration, and Veterans’ Affairs
The Records and Registration front counter is open Monday–Thursday, from 8:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday from 8:45 a.m.–5 p.m. to assist students in person. Virtual services can be accessed by emailing email@example.com Monday–Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students who need assistance with their veterans’ education benefits can receive help on campus Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m., or virtually every Tuesday from 2–3 p.m. at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Test Center has remote and in-person placement testing options available to students. The center is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Placement testing can also be done online for both the Math and English placement test.
