Visiting Students: Take Advantage of Winter Classes

Take a class this winter at HCC!

Returning home for the holidays? Why not pick up an extra class at Howard Community College during winter break! Maintain your momentum, stay on track to graduate, earn prerequisites, or get ahead by visiting HCC this winter. Winter classes begin on January 3, 2022 and run through January 26. In just four weeks, you can earn transferable college credit while saving money on college.

Our advisors can help you identify courses that will meet the requirements of your college or university and assist you with the process of transferring those credits upon your return. And with four course formats to choose from, you can decide how you learn this winter:

  • Face-to-face: Classes will be 100% in person on campus. There may still be some online support for communication, assignments, and more. When on campus, masks are required indoors in all buildings and facilities.
  • Hybrid: Learn both in person and online. These are courses that have been approved for some amount of face-to-face interaction on campus.
  • Scheduled remote: Meet at designated times in an online classroom. These courses will meet in real time, and at the times listed in the class schedule. Courses will be listed as Scheduled Zoom, Scheduled Blackboard, or Scheduled Canvas in the class schedule.
  •  Flexible online: Study on your own time. These courses may or may not use Zoom, and recorded lectures are posted for students to watch on their own time. These courses still have due dates. Courses are listed in the schedule as Online.

HCC offers top-notch faculty with courses designed for transfer… all at a cost that is less than half the many four-year colleges. Take advantage of your winter break, apply today: For more information on resources for visiting students, please visit:
