Sean Keller and Natalie Ziegler Appointed as Members of Howard Community College Board of Trustees
Columbia, MD – Sean Keller and Natalie Ziegler are the newest members of the Howard Community College (HCC) Board of Trustees. Appointed by the governor of Maryland, the Howard Community College Board of Trustees is the college's legal governing body. The board exercises general oversight and establishes policies for implementing the mission of the college.
Sean Keller, a Clarksville resident, is serving a six-year term through June 2025. He serves as the chief strategy officer and member of the board of directors for Freedom Consulting Group, a professional services firm specializing in geospatial information systems, data analytics, software and system engineering with contracts serving the US intelligence community and other federal clients. He is a retired US Air Force Reserve Intelligence Officer.
Other business experience includes his role as founder and president of N-M Holdings, a UPS Store franchisee. The business operates multiple retail centers in central Florida and is one of the largest franchise operators in central Florida. Keller was also co-founder, president and CEO of Sage Management, a professional services firm serving the US intelligence and National Security communities.
Keller is active in his community and formerly served on the board of directors for the Howard Community College Educational Foundation and the Howard Community College Commission on the Future. Other volunteer roles are with Mercy Medical Center and the Basilica of the Assumption, located in Baltimore City. In 2013, he was ordained a Deacon of the Catholic Church by His Excellency, Archbishop William Lori, STD, and was assigned ministerial duties at the Basilica.
Keller earned his bachelor’s degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his master’s degree in information and telecommunication systems for business from the Johns Hopkins University.
Natalie Ziegler, a resident of Ellicott City, is assuming the remaining term for a former trustee and will serve until July 1, 2021.
For nearly 30 years, Ziegler has been the owner of Carroll Mill Farm, a 360-acre feed grain farm. Additionally, she holds the role of co-owner and managing partner of Commonwealth Imports, LCC/Natalie Ziegler Designs, a wholesale jewelry manufacturing company. Past experience includes working as a television producer for a daily show produced by the Freedom Forum and as a senior researcher/segment producer at CNN.
Actively engaged in the community, Ziegler serves on the NAACP Education Committee and volunteers as a literacy tutor at the South Baltimore Learning Center. She is active with the Howard County Farm Bureau and Inspire Young Voters, a multi-organization effort to encourage young people to vote. Formerly, Ziegler served on the boards of the Howard County Economic Development Authority and the Homewood House Museum at Johns Hopkins University.She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oberlin College and master’s degree in economics and American foreign policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
