
Project Access Program Hosts Information Session Jan. 23 for Students and Parents
Columbia, MD – The Project Access program at Howard Community College is holding a student and parent information session on Saturday, January 23, 2016, from 1–3 p.m. The event will be held at the college in the Burrill Galleria, which is located in the Student Activities (SA) building, room 100. A snow date is scheduled for January 30, from 1–3 p.m.
Project Access is a transition and retention program aimed at helping high school students with disabilities get into college and succeed. Students completing grades nine, 10, 11, and 12 in Maryland public and private high schools, and who are on the diploma track in high school, are eligible to participate in Project Access.
The information session will focus on the Project Access Summer Institute, which meets Monday through Friday, July 5–29, and offers instruction in such areas as reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, college success skills, and career development.
