Howard Community College’s Dance Faculty Concert Returns September 25 and 26

Faculty from Howard Community College’s (HCC) dance program will perform alongside professional guest artists during the annual Dance Faculty Concert on September 25 and 26, 2015. Through contemporary modern, belly dance and hip hop dance styles, audiences will experience emotional journeys, complex relationships, sheer physicality and dynamic music brought to life on the concert stage. Both performances begin at 8 p.m. in the college’s Smith Theatre, located in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA). A post-show discussion follows the September 26 performance.

This year’s concert features performances by Amandari Belly Dance Troupe and KickRocks hip hop crew with choreography by faculty members Launa “Naimah” Dixon, Mat Elder, Elizabeth Higgins, Desiree Koontz-Nachtrieb, Alex J. Krebs, Ama Law and Joan Nicholas-Walker.
