HCC Students Engineer a Fulfilled Wish

Howard Community College engineering students recently finished building a mobile exercise “chariot” for Fernanda, a 9-year-old girl with muscular dystrophy and other challenges. HCC partnered with V-LINC, a nonprofit organization that designs devices for people with disabilities, to incorporate the building of this project into the curriculum, giving students the opportunity to practice hands-on engineering and give back to the community.
The project was recently featured in The Baltimore Sun.
