Columbia, MD – The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) will hold an Audit and Finance Committee meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in room 401 of The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF). There will be a work session and a regular meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, beginning at 6 p.m. in room 400 of The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF).

As authorized by Section 10-508 of the State Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the board of trustees plans to meet in closed session on November 18, 2015, at the conclusion of the regular meeting in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall, room 400 to discuss a consultant’s report as it relates to the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction, and the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto under Sections 10-508 (1)(i) and (3) of the Annotated Code of Maryland and that such meeting shall continue in closed session until the completion of business.

Citizens who wish to present any matter of concern pertaining to the community college to the board of trustees shall make written request to the secretary-treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting, in order that the matter may be included on the agenda for the meeting.  In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting.  The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, reserves the right to terminate a presentation of this nature.
