HCC Board of Trustees Meetings Scheduled for January

Columbia, MD – The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) will hold an abbreviated regular meeting, followed by a budget work session, followed by a closed session on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, beginning at 6 p.m. in room 400 of The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF). The board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, beginning at 6 p.m. in room 400 of The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF).

At its closed session on January 13, 2016, the board will discuss a personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals, and will consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto as permitted under Sections 10-508 (1)(ii) and (3) of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

Citizens who wish to present any matter of concern pertaining to the community college to the board of trustees shall make written request to the secretary-treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting, in order that the matter may be included on the agenda for the meeting.  In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting.  The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, reserves the right to terminate a presentation of this nature.
