Grab a Bite, and Make a Difference

Update: View our Flickr album of the event.
Thank you to the community, our supporters, and partners for shopping at Whole Foods Columbia last Thursday, where 5% of net sales are donated to the Howard Community College Educational Foundation!
The event raised over $4,500, which are matched with Pathway Scholarship funds for a total of over $9,000 for student scholarships! We also collected over 100 full grocery bags of food for the HCC Food Pantry!
Whole Foods Columbia is holding a food drive and community giving day (otherwise known as “5% Days”) on September 15, 2016. On that day, 5% of net sales will be donated to Howard Community College Educational Foundation (HCCEF). Funds raised will go directly to the Pathway Scholarship Match Campaign, helping raise the last $140,000 of the $500,000 matching campaign.
Whole Foods is also partnering with HCCEF to make weekly donations to our campus food pantry and will start the partnership by holding a food drive at Whole Foods the same day. Hunger is a hidden barrier for student success and with the generous support of Whole Foods we can combat food insecurity on campus.
