Columbia, MD – For the fifth year, more than 500 employees from over 50 sponsoring companies and organizations will run, climb, and crawl their way to the finish line on Sunday, October 14, 2018, for the Howard Community College (HCC) 5K Challenge Race. The event provides opportunities to promote health and corporate wellness along with team building, while raising funds for student scholarships.
The Howard Community College Educational Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports HCC and its students, has partnered with the Columbia Association (CA) who will provide
on-site personal trainers during the 8-week training program, a 90-Day complimentary membership to the CA sports and fitness facilities, and weekly health and workforce wellness newsletters to employees as an extra benefit to participating organizations.
The HCC 5K Challenge Race training opportunities differentiate this race from other running events. The event specifically targets businesses, organizations, and community groups, with corporate team sponsorships starting at $750.
