Board of Trustees Meeting Updates
Columbia, MD – The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) has rescheduled its March and May audit and finance committee meetings, and expects remote participation by a board member at its January and February meetings. Please note the following:
Monday, March 11, 2019 – New date for the audit and finance committee at 8:30 a.m. in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF), room 401. (This meeting was previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2019.)
Monday, May 13, 2019 – New date for the audit and finance committee at 8:30 a.m. in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF), room 401. (This meeting was previously scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, 2019.)
Additionally, a member of the board of trustees is expected to participate remotely in the January 9, 2019, budget work session; the January 23, 2019, regular board meeting; and the February 27, 2019, work session and regular board meeting. These meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF), room 400.
A member of the public who wishes to present any matter of concern pertaining to the board of trustees must submit a written request to the secretary/treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting for review and response. In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting. The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, may limit the presentation to three minutes.
