The COVID-19 Response Fund provides aid so students can purchase technology to participate in courses online. It also helps students pay for courses if their current financial aid does not cover costs. Learn more about how the HCCEF is helping students.

HCC will offer a blended learning environment for the fall semester, with some instruction in person for classes that benefit from hands-on experiences or labs. There will be three different class formats – hybrid, scheduled remote, and flexible online.

HCC will launch esports as its newest athletics program for the fall 2020 season. After accepting an invitation to the NECC esports league, HCC is now the first Maryland community college to hold a collegiate esports team membership.

For the first time since 2013 and just the second time in program history, the Howard Community College men's basketball team qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) championship with a 104-85 win.
