The Howard County Arts Council recently awarded Hsien-Ann Meng, assistant professor of music and chair of the music department at HCC, with its Outstanding Artist Howie Award. The annual award recognizes leaders who support the arts and local artists.

HCC has always offered a BMET degree program, but recently launched Maryland’s only BMET apprenticeship program, providing students an “earn while you learn” educational model that provides benefits in combining work and school experiences.

The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) has moved its April 23, 2020, to a remote-access meeting. The board will also hold a closed session immediately following the regular meeting. The meeting will be held remotely via Zoom.
