
Opioid Awareness and Naloxone Administration Training Offered September 17
Free Session Offered By Howard Community College and Howard County Health Department
Columbia, MD – Howard Community College’s Health Sciences Division has partnered with the Howard County Health Department to offer free opioid awareness and abuse training on Monday, September 17 at 11 a.m. The training will include education on the administration of Naloxone, which is commonly known as Narcan and can reverse an opioid overdose.
The one-hour training is part of a larger event designed for students in the college’s health sciences programs.
Free and open to the public, the opioid awareness and abuse training by the health department will take place at Howard Community College’s Smith Theatre, which is located in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia.
