Dozens of engineering students came together to present their projects at the college's bi-annual Engineering Projects Night. Sixteen projects were on display with their creators standing by to explain the building process, challenges they faced, etc.

Presidents from HCC, Prince George’s Community College (PGCC), and Bowie State University signed a new agreement that will bring Bowie State’s business administration bachelor’s degree program to the Laurel College Center.

HCC raised $200,000 for student scholarships at its President’s Gala celebrating the opening of the new Science, Engineering, and Technology Building and Dr. Kate Hetherington's 10th anniversary as president on December 2, 2017.

Thirteen students pitched their innovative business ideas to a panel of entrepreneurial business professionals at the Fall Entrepreneurial Celebration. The bi-annual event is sponsored by HCC’s Center for Entrepreneurial and Business Excellence.

HCC and HCPSS have partnered to expand options for high schoolers to earn college credit, enough to potentially earn an associates degree by the time they graduate high school. The program, called JumpStart, was recently featured by the Baltimore Sun.
