2016 was a record breaking year for Howard Community College with a total of 1,472 student candidates for graduation. Students and families of this highest graduating class in HCC history gathered at UMBC for the college's 45th annual commencement.

HCC has been named one of the top-rated community colleges nationwide in the 11th annual Digital Community Colleges Survey by the Center for Digital Education. HCC tied for second place in the large community college category.

Howard Community College will graduate the largest class in its history at the annual commencement ceremony on May 24, 2016. More than 1,470 students are candidates for associate degrees and certificates this academic year.

HCC athletes excelled in national competitions. Maggie Niland won the women's 10,000-meter race, the men's track and field team swept the 400-meter dash, and the women's lacrosse team defeated Harford Community College, leading to the nationals.

HCC's new 3D Innovation Hub, unveiled May 9th, will allow students to build and prototype objects with real-life applications. The hub will also inspire faculty and staff to integrate additive manufacturing technology in their classes.
