Visit Howard Community College This Summer

Are you returning home for summer break? Pick up a class at Howard Community College (HCC) this summer! Maintain your momentum, stay on track to graduate, earn prerequisites or simply take an extracurricular class by visiting Howard Community College. HCC offers five-week, eight-week, and ten-week summer class sessions so you’ll be sure to find something that fits your schedule and needs.
“Many students find the cost savings at HCC to be a big help! Taking a summer class here is a fantastic way to make up credits or get ahead,” said Valerie Vidal, director of advising at HCC. “Students get a first-class educational experience at less than half the cost.”
Ready to get started? The first step is to complete the application for admission at HCC. In order to complete this process, you will also need to submit your official or unofficial transcript and any test scores needed depending on the classes you are interested in taking this summer.
Next, we suggest that you check with your home college or university to get your course transfer approval in advance. Most colleges have a ‘permit to study or permission to transfer’ form. Our advisors can also help you find courses that will meet your needs and assist you with the process of transferring your credits.
“Most courses transfer easily back to home institutions but requesting approval in advance is the best way to confirm prior to attending HCC,” said Vidal. “If you have any questions, please feel free to email advising@howardcc.edu or call 443-518-1200. We’re ready to help!”
When your summer classes are over, don’t forget to request an official transcript be sent to your home institution by emailing HCCtranscript@howardcc.edu.
