    • World’s Happiest Country: Horsens, Denmark & HCC Teaching Exchange Time: 11:30am - 1:00pm Locations: DH 100 Details:

      Two HCC English professors recap a teaching exchange in Denmark made possible through an HCC Sharon Schmickley International Travel Grant. Pictures, impressions, and anecdotes will be shared about one of the happiest countries in the world! COIL (Collaborative, Online, International Learning) and Horsens Gymnasium, an upper level liberal arts school’s pedagogical model in Horsens, Denmark, will also be discussed.

      HCC international students will share their perspectives on America focusing on the education system. Students will share their perceptions of the US in their home countries and reveal what they have learned about the US and Americans since studying here.

      Learn more about the mentoring program for newly arrived students with international backgrounds. Gain awareness of initial challenges that new international students face because of cultural adjustment in a new educational environment. Explore ways to become involved with FAB.
