Howard Community College Visual Arts Department is proud to feature Linnea Poole February 8th - March 14th as a part of the Virtual Exhibition Series. Poole will give a recorded artist lecture that will accompany the exhibitions. The lecture will be available for viewing on February 28, 2021
Linnea Poole is an Art Practitioner; Womanist; and Community Educator. She has taught theater performance, visual arts, and dance movement in various schools around the DC, Maryland, and VA corridor. Currently, Linnea is an Adjunct Professor at Coppin State University and at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Linnea also teaches at a local middle school in West Baltimore where her students study how to create art activism and stand as ambassadors for their community. She was recently featured on Baltimore's news station WJZ and was highlighted on her fiber art practice and community focused workshops. Linnea holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Arts from Coppin State University and a Master of Fine Art in Community Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
