Notting Hill is a 1999 drama that writer Richard Curtis developed from "the idea of a very normal person going out with an unbelievably famous person and how that impinges on their lives.” When watching, take note of Thacker's bookshop, which was actually an antiques shop in real life, three doors down from the writer Richard Curtis's production company.
