 SHERRIE BLACK

Sherrie BlackSherrie Trede Black, RN, Mac, is a Registered Nurse,  Licensed Acupuncturist, and Certified Zero Balancing practitioner. She is a founding partner of East-West Healing Arts (located in Columbia and Crownsville, MD) a holistic healing community, dedicated to providing a safe, respectful environment for patients to discover the tremendous power of the body's innate wisdom and healing potential. In the treatment room, Sherrie combines her knowledge of Western Medicine and nutrition with the ancient wisdom of Acupuncture and the gentle touch of Zero Balancing to bring relaxation and symptomatic relief to her clients. GRETA M. LUHAR

Greta ModiGreta Luhar, licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland, earned her Master's in Acupuncture at Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, MD. Greta is also an Advanced Detoxification Specialist, offering a holistic approach to people recovering from addictions and maintaining wellness. Greta received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from University of Maryland, College Park. Greta is enthusiastic about acupuncture and wellness! MELINDA DERICK

Melinda Derick I have spent 22 years with a diverse population and have learned so much about common injuries and also brain and spinal chord injuries and Multiple Sclerosis. Many clients come in support of thir wellness. Some of my modalitoes include Soft Tissue Release, Connective Tissue Massage, Reiki, Pregnancy massage and Yoga  Massage Threapy support a healthy lifestyle. It increases fluidity in the body. MARK STOEHR

Mark Stoehr bio picMark Stoehr became interested in accupuncture after he had a serious medical diagnosis. He endured surgeries and other medical treatments during this time. Acupuncture helped him with not only my physical pain, stress, and anxiety but it also helped me to grow spiritually. He soon realized that he wanted to become an acupuncturist to help others in such a way too. Currently, he helps people with pain management, weight loss and overcoming life's challenges. His goal is to direct his clients onto a path of happiness and success through education and empowerment. Along with acupuncture, he also coaches individuals in their personal and business endeavors. BRENDA MCNEAL

Brenda McNeal Brenda McNeal is a Licensed Acupuncturist (Maryland) with years of experience in the healing arts.  Beginning work at the Tai Sophia Institute in 2001, she created the position of Assistant Director for its Faculty Supervised Student Clinic working closely with experienced Faculty Practitioners, new clinical students and clinical patients. 

She earned her Master of Acupuncture degree (M.Ac.) at the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland.  As a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, she has been qualified by the National AcuDetox Association (NADA) to effectively use protocols for addiction recovery and stress reduction.  Huntington College of Health Sciences awarded her a Diploma of Comprehensive Nutrition (Dip.C.N.) which adds another dimension to the care she is able to provide to her clients.

In keeping with her belief that professional development and lifelong learning will make her a better practitioner, she has attended intensive workshops on Acupuncture’s Efficacy for Fertility Issues and Pain Management and is active in regional and national professional associations.

BERNADETTE HAMILTON

Bernadette Hamilton is excited to be offering acupuncture services to the students at HCC in their Student Wellness Center.  Bernadette is a committed and passionate practitioner who brings a wealth of experience to her work. Prior to receiving her Masters Degree in acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland, she worked as a Certified Life Coach.   As an acupuncturist, her approach is one of partnering with clients as they seek to create and maintain a balanced sense of wellbeing. Whether you desire release from addiction, weight issues, anxiety, stress, depression, physical pain or simply wanting more ease in your life, come and experience this ancient art of healing.  Once you step into the treatment room you will appreciate Bernadette ‘s gentle and easy approach.

HOMA HASHIME

Homa HashimeHoma Hashime is a Naturopathic Doctor and a licensed acupuncturist in Maryland.  She earned  her bachelor in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, accomplished her doctorate in naturopathic medicine in Bastyr University and  her Master’s  in the most ancient form of healing medicine, Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute, Maryland.  Homa is also an Advanced Detoxification Specialist with comprehensive experience in auricular acupuncture for addiction and stress reduction.  Her trainings and experiences  includes treating various acute and chronic conditions including stress, depression, anxiety, menstrual problems, migraine headaches,  allergies and varies painful joints and muscular conditions using acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, and other naturopathic modalities.
