How to find a MAC address<BACK to wireless registration form
On a Windows system Click Start and choose Run. Type in cmd and press enter to bring up a command prompt. On the command prompt window, type ipconfig /all and press enter. Scroll up and down to view the information. Look for the physical (MAC) address for your wireless network device. Note that there may be more than one network device. Copy the address very carefully; one mistake means you will not connect to HCC’s wireless network.
On a Macintosh system (OS X 10.3) - Under the Apple menu, go to System Preferences.
- Choose Network.
- From the "Show" pull-down menu, choose AirPort (or your wireless card).
- Your wireless MAC address is the Airport ID.
- Copy the address very carefully; one mistake means you will not connect to HCC’s wireless network.
