Participating in the HCC Co-op & Internship Program

Cooperative Education (Co-op) and Internships are work experience programs at Howard Community College that offer employers in the Greater Baltimore/Washington area a pool of HCC students interested in paid/unpaid work experiences related to their programs of study and career interests.  Students choosing these options are interested in acquiring and improving work-based skills and furthering their professional development.  The HCC Cooperative Education and Internship program is a win-win opportunity for employers and educators to partner.  Employers will receive:

  • Motivated applicants who are actively seeking work that relates to their program of study or career interests.
  • The chance to evaluate potential employees without making a long-term hiring commitment, and without the typical high cost associated with recruiting new personnel.

Go to  HCC Co-op/Internship Program page for more information on the internship program.

The Counseling and Career Services office at Howard Community College discourages students from entering into businesses that require paying a fee or buying products as a condition of employment or whose pay structure is based on a multilevel commission basis. Representatives of multilevel marketing companies are prohibited from recruiting students or promoting their business or products on campus (e.g., On-Campus Recruiting, Job Fair) or via our online job database, HCC Job Connection.
