Howard Community College is pleased to offer companies the chance to inform students of employment opportunities through employment recruiting sessions. These sessions are usually scheduled Monday through Thursday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Evening sessions are occasionally available. The availability of specific dates will be confirmed when the completed registration form is received in our office.
There is a $50 non-refundable, registration fee for each recruiting session. Checks should be made payable to HCC. If you prefer, payment may be made by credit card. (See instructions on the attached registration form.) Your recruiting session is not confirmed until payment is received.
For the recruiting session, we will provide each company with a 5-foot table and 2 chairs in the lobby of the Duncan Hall (DH) or Rouse Company Foundation (RCF) buildings at HCC. These areas are used by many organizations for various purposes and are the locations on campus where most students congregate. To have a successful day, it is important that you bring signs that clearly indicate that you are hiring. Please bring your own recruiting materials, table skirts, or decorations. Please note that Helium balloons are not allowed in campus buildings.
If you would like publicity about your company or your openings to be distributed on campus or be posted on the HCC Career Center Internet Site, the materials must be received at least 10 days before your recruiting date and your registration fee must be paid. I will be happy to provide you with further guidelines about advertising when your registration has been confirmed.
We depend on recruiters like you to give us feedback on the program's success. Information from you regarding the number of HCC students interviewed and/or hired is critical for determining the future of this program. You will be asked to provide information about the success of each session.
To schedule an on-campus recruiting session, please print and complete the registration form (click here for PDF document) and submit your payment either by check or credit card. For further information, please contact Amy Crawford at 443 518-4009 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Counseling and Career Services office at Howard Community College discourages students from entering into businesses that require paying a fee or buying products as a condition of employment or whose pay structure is based on a multilevel commission basis. Representatives of multilevel marketing companies are prohibited from recruiting students or promoting their business or products on campus (e.g., On-Campus Recruiting, Job Fair) or via our online job database, HCC Job Connection.
