Information Literacy ClassesWork with our knowledgeable and experienced research assistance staff members to create a workshop tailored specifically to your course, or even to a single assignment. These sessions not only introduce students to the Library and its resources and services, but, more importantly, provide practical demonstration and hands-on application of exciting new research tools, such as full-text databases and the Internet. Class session are held in L214, the Library’s projector-equipped Information Literacy Classroom, or depending on your students' information needs, sessions may be conducted in classroom spaces outside the library.
Requesting an Information Literacy Class
To schedule a workshop session for your students, simply:
Please plan to attend the workshop session with your class! Library staff cannot take attendance, distribute or accept homework assignments, or substitute teach. More importantly, however, your presence in the workshop shows your students just how important library research is and keeps you up to date with our resources. Library staff will cancel workshop sessions in the event of instructor absence!
