Purchase Requests

Full-time faculty may directly recommend book purchases to library staff.

Part-time faculty should place book requests through their Division Chairs.

To request a book for the Library's shelves, you may:

  1. Email bibliographic information to the library, or
  2. Submit a Purchase Request form. - you'll need your library card barcode number in order to submit the form.  Please visit the Library's Check Out Desk first if you do not yet have a library card.

Audio-Visual materials (i.e. videos, slides, CD products, etc.) must be previewed and evaluated prior to recommendation for purchase. Preview requests should be submitted to Marie Kottis at x4635 or mkottis@howardcc.edu.

The Library staff follow a formal Acquisitions Policy in selecting and purchasing materials for the Library. Our Acquisitions Policy may answer many of your questions regarding library purchases.
