Learning Assistance and TutoringThe Learning Assistance Center (LAC) provides academic support services to all credit students enrolled at Howard Community College who would like to become more successful and efficient learners. The LAC provides free group tutoring in most courses offered for students not qualified for the Student Support Services Program. See our current LAC newsletter.
The Learning Assistance Center is located in the Student Services Building, RCF 340.
Summer tutoring begins on June1, 2009 and ends on August 7, 2009.
Fall tutoring will begin August 31, 2009

Our tutors are professional and peer tutors, many of whom have been certified by the College Reading and Learning Association. We need additional tutors in many areas including accounting, sciences, computer science, and nursing. Please encourage students to use our services. In addition to tutoring in most credit subjects, we offer a Write Room and a series of study skills workshops.
