Howard Community College will be hosting the 2013 Outdoor Track & Field District Championships May 9th-11th, 2013. The department has a fantastic reputation for hosting track event on the regional and national levels. We can continue to do so with your support. The national meet is comprised of community colleges from regions all over the United States east of the Mississippi. There will be over 400 student athletes and 70 coaches as well over 25 Officials in attendance over the three day meet. Records will be broken and exciting performances will occur as they all compete to be named Champion. We would love to have you commit to 4 hour blocks of time. If you can help us, this would greatly be appreciated. If you cannot work a 4 hour shift, but could be here for a shorter length of time, we would love to have you, however ask that you work a minimum of 2 hours with us - one, two or both days! Volunteers will meet either Sat. May 4, or Sun. May 5 from 12-1 in the classroom at the Athletic and Fitness Center for a 1-hour orientation in preparation for the national meet.
