Cross Country Team Coaches

 5Cross Country Head Coach: Steve Musselman

Co-Head Coach Steve Musselman has been the lifeblood of the Howard Community
College’s running programs. Upon his arrival at the college in 1985, he started both the
Cross Country and Track and Field teams at the college. Coach Musselman, who is a
graduate of Frostburg State College, earned his B.S. in Recreation/English (Minor) degree
where he was also a runner for the Bobcats. In Cross Country he has been named Regional Coach-of-the-Year 12 times.

Coach Musselman has led his teams to one district title and
four JUCO Conference titles. He has developed 61 all-region performers, 13 All-Americans,
and 5 Academic All-Americans. As the Co-Head coach of the track team, Coach Musselman
has been just as stellar. He has led his team to four MD JUCO titles. Coach Musselman was named Regional Coach of the year eight times and National Coach of the year two times.
He has helped develop 102 All-Region performers, 46 All-Americans, and 3 National Meet MVP’s.

Brian Bonn received his B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science from Frostburg State University in 2006.  He earned numerous conference championship and All Conference awards as well as several school records as a member of the Track and Field and Cross Country teams. Prior to attending Frostburg State, Brian ran for Coach Musselman at HCC, receiving NJCAA All American in the outdoor 1500 meter run. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and  co-owner of Competitive Sport and Speed in Odenton, MD.
